Our Process

1. CONSULTATION

The objective of our hair consultation is to discover your needs and concerns so we can offer the best help and advice.

2. DETANGLE

The Hairturalist will apply the treatment in sections and finger detangle your natural hair to remove all the tangles and knots.

3. CAP

Your hair will be covered with a treatment cap for 10 minutes to use your body heat to open the cuticle so that the treatment can reach the hair cortex (inner hair layer).

4. CLEANSE

Your hair is cleansed to remove all the dirt, and product buildup collected by the treatment.

5. HAIRSTYLE

The final step in our process is getting your chosen style, and looking like you.

1. CONSULTATION

The Hairturalist will have a look at your scalp and natural hair and recommend a treatment.

2. DETANGLING

Having chosen a treatment, the Hairturalist will apply it in sections and finger detangle your natural hair. You will then select a style from our Hairtural Hairstyle Gallery on our Pinterest page or from the natural hairstyle gallery on the iPad that the Hairturalist will provide,

3. CAP

Covering your hair with the treatment cap traps your body heat which helps open your hair cuticle (the outer layer of t your hair) to allow the treatment to reach the cortex (inner layer of the hair).

4. CLEANSE

We don't use shampoos because they have sulphates which remove the natural oils (sebum) that coat your natural hair. Our cleanseres are sulphate-free.

5. HAIRSTYLING

The final step in our process is getting your chosen hairstyle done.
