TERMS & CONDITIONS

A visit to Hairtural should always be an enjoyable experience, both for the client (Naturalist) and the stylist (Hairturalist). Here are our terms and conditions to ensure that your visit runs smoothly. Kindly note that we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Hairtural clients have the right to cancel their bookings at any time. To do so, please contact us or select the cancel or reschedule button from the booking confirmation or reminder emails. Please note that cancellation charges will apply as outlined below.

 

CANCELLATION CHARGES

When a booking is made, Hairtural reserves a slot for you, and it is removed from the booking inventory. When a booking is cancelled, we have limited ability to sell that booking again, especially if the time to the appointment is short. In accordance with the National Consumer Protection Act, Hairtural reserves the right to charge a cancellation charge on cancelled bookings. These charges are as follows;

 

  • If a client requests to cancel (or reschedule) a booking with more than 24 hours till the appointment, the customer will not incur a cancellation charge. The client will be able to cancel or reschedule their booking online.

  • If a client requests to cancel (or reschedule) a booking that is less than 24 hours from the time of the appointment, a 100% cancellation fee will be imposed, and no refund will be granted. The client will not be able to cancel or reschedule their booking online.

  • Bookings made within 24 hours may be cancelled or rescheduled at least 4 hours prior to the booking time in order to avoid a 50% cancellation fee.

 

Messages left after operating hours or on public holidays will be regarded as lodged the morning of the next business day.

 

EXCEPTIONS

In line with Section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act a cancellation fee will not be imposed if the booking is not honoured because of the death or hospitalization of the person for whom the booking was made.

 

ARRIVE ON TIME

It is very important to arrive to your appointment on time. If you arrive late, you actually set the Hairturalist up to be late for the rest of the day. If you arrive late the service provided will be adjusted to fit the time remaining for your slot. This ensures that we are able to honour our next appointment.

 

SPECIAL REQUEST

We accept requests for a particular Hairturalist when you book.

 

CHOOSING A HAIRSTYLE

Photos of different hairstyles we do are available for you to choose from on the tablet. You can also see them from our Hairtural Hairstyle Gallery on Pinterest. The Hairturalist will assist and guide you based on your hair line, texture, thickness and length. If the Hairturalist advices that your chosen hairstyle is not possible based on your hair line, texture, thickness, and length … and you insist on doing it and relinquish the recommendations – the Hairturalist will not undo and re-plait at the end if you don’t like it because the outcome does not meet your expectations.

 

REDO & REFRESH

If your hair becomes undone, we require you to call us within 3 days of your appointment for a redo. If you call 7 days after your appointment you will be charged a refresh fee for the same hairstyle. A different hairstyle will be charged at full price.

 

CHILDREN

We provide services for children from the age of 2 years. We, however, reserve the right to refuse service should the child not be ready to have their hair done. We recommend starting them off with a wash or treatment only for the first couple of appointments. Over time we will add styles and plaits as they get used to coming to the Studio. There are age appropriate hairstyles that we recommend that are best suited for their scalp health. We will not plait a child age-inappropriate hairstyles (in particular very thin lines) AND if their scalp is tender and inflamed. To protect their scalp, we alternate plaiting with styles, and we recommend unplaiting a day or two before plaiting again.

 

To respect the relaxing environment, we wish to create for our clients who look forward to a hair pamper, we request that you collect your child immediately after their appointment. Leaving them for hours at the Studio hours after their hair appointment turns the Hairturalist into babysitters and this keeps them away from doing their work.

ETIQUETTE

Be sensitive to other clients around you when you are on the phone, please speak softly into the phone and not on speaker.  

 

CHANGES TO TERMS & CONDITIONS

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions.
